Iran exported around 3.8 million tonnes of products worth $ 967 million to the UAE in the first quarter of the current fiscal year (March 20-20 June), according to the director general of the Trade Promotion Organization of the Arab-African Affairs Bureau of Iran.
"The figures indicate growth of 39% and 8% in terms of tonnage and value respectively compared to the corresponding period last year," Farzad Piltan also told the Mehr news agency.
Watermelon with $ 19 million and tomato with $ 18.47 million topped the list of Iranian exports to the Arabian Persian Gulf country during the three-month period under review.
